Local Boroughs Scholarships for Undergraduate Students at Brunel University of London in UK

Brunel University of London offers Local Boroughs Scholarships. Thirty scholarships will be allocated in early September for the students who wish to pursue undergraduate course in the University. The amount of the scholarship will be in the form of a £5,000 fee waiver and £1,000 taken as either (a) an additional fee waiver or (b) discount on the cost of on-campus accommodation or (c) a cash award, each year for a maximum of three years.Applicants applying for the scholarship must have submitted a completed scholarship application by 31 July.


Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided in any course offered by the University.
Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing Undergraduate level.

Eligibility: 

*must achieve a minimum of 360 UCAS tariff points in total (excluding Key Skills)

*must attend a maintained school or college (not an independent or private school) in Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon or Hounslow

*must meet at least one of the following underrepresented* criteria:

- care leaver

- from a low participation neighbourhood

- mature

- low income

- disability (including dyslexia)

- low-socio economic background

- parents do not have a higher education qualification

*must have made Brunel University their firm choice through UCAS

*must be eligible to receive a tuition fee loan from Student Finance England and consent to the sharing of data submitted to the Student Finance England

*must be ordinarily resident in England (i.e. excludes those living in Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland or EU, Overseas Territories, Gibraltar etc).


Scholarship Open for International Students: The UK students can apply for the scholarship.


Scholarship Description:30 scholarships will be allocated in early September, following publication of UK ‘A’ level examination results, starting with those applicants who have achieved the greatest number of tariff points above 360 (excluding Key Skills) and who meet the criteria.


Number of Awards: 30 scholarships are offered.


Duration of Awards: Scholarship is offered for 3 years (subject to meeting progression criteria).


What does it cover? £5,000 fee waiver plus £1,000 taken either as (a) an additional fee waiver or (b) discount on the cost of on-campus accommodation or (c) a cash award.
