Purpose of award: To help African American students who are rising juniors or seniors who plan to teach in science, technology or math.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must plan to teach and may major in mathematics, science, information systems, education, chemistry, biology, science technology, computer engineering or chemical engineering. Applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have unmet financial need that is verified by the college or university financial aid office. UNCF students are encouraged to complete the UNCF General Scholarship application to be matched with scholarships for which they meet the criteria.
