2013 Sylvia Pankhurst Scholarship for Ethiopian Students at University of Westminster in UK

University of WestminsterUniversity of Westminster is pleased to offer Masters degree scholarships. The scholarships are being funded to the Ethiopian students to pursue a full-time Masters degree at the University. The award covers full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London. Selections are based on the academic excellence, financial need and development potential. Eligible applicants must apply till 31st May 2013.

Eligibility: You must be a student from Ethiopia and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree in at the University.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The Ethiopian students can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: With the participation and permission of the Pankhurst family, and in association with the Jethro Institute for Good Governance, this scholarship is available to students from Ethiopia. While Ms. Pankhurst’s work as a suffragette is well known, less well known is her work in Ethiopia, where she raised awareness of Mussolini’s atrocities in that country and helped to found the first teaching hospital in Ethiopia.
