Scholarship Description: Victoria University of Wellington is committed to Maori student recruitment, retention and achievement. Victoria also recognises the contribution that Wharekura schools make to te Reo Maori and Maori education. By facilitating participation through scholarship support, the University acknowledges the value of the future academic achievements and contributions to the University and to the wider community that the scholarship recipient will make. The purpose of this annual scholarship is to recruit academically able students from Wharekura schools to a Bachelor’s degree programme at Victoria University.
