Ellen MacArthur Foundation offers Schmidt-MacArthur Fellowship for postgraduate students. In the first year the fellowship is tenable at partner universities that will be located in the US, UK, Europe and India. The fellowship is provided to study in design, engineering and business. The students of US, UK, Europe and India can apply for this scholarship. The Fellowship award consists of an award for both the student and their nominated academic mentor. The fellowship program will be developed and run in partnership with two leading UK academic institutions, Cranfield University and Imperial College London. Student must have confirmed and accepted place on a postgraduate course in design, engineering and /or business at a Partner University.

Scholarship Description: The Schmidt-MacArthur Fellowship is an international fellowship programme for postgraduate students and their university tutors on creative and innovative thinking around the circular economy. The programme takes a multi-disciplinary approach with input across design, engineering and business. It will be developed and run in partnership with two leading UK academic institutions – Cranfield University and Imperial College London.

What does it cover?The Fellowship award consists of an award for both the student and their nominated academic mentor. Student Selected students will receive a fellowship worth UK£14,000 (approximately US $22,300 or €17,500 or R1233,537) per student to develop a Circular Economy Innovation Project as part of a postgraduate study course in design, engineering or business. The fellowship bursary includes: £2000 (approximately US $3200 or €2500 or R175,219) financial bursary Week-long, all expenses paid summer school in London Online support facility throughout the programme. Academic Mentor :The academic mentor will receive a fellowship package worth UK£14,000 (approximately US $22,300 or €17,500 or R1233,537) to support their student during the fellowship period. This includes: £2000 (approximately US $3200 or €2500 or R175,219) honorarium Week-long, all expenses paid summer school in London Online support facility throughout the programme.
